From the Songbook of Johnny Blodgett "Born Again Christian"

One of the favorite songs that God has blessed me with

"Born Again Christian"

words and music

John Blodgett

(Revelation 20:12-15)
12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works .13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
When we stand in Glory, before his great throne,
The books will be opened and he'll call his own,
Before the host of heaven, he'll call my name,
Washed in his blood, I'm saved from the flames.

And I'm walkin, I'm walkin in the light of the lamb,
From now until glory, in God's grace I stand,
I've turned my life over into his hands,
A born again Christian, that's what I am.
(John 3: 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. 8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.)
The pathway to heaven in narrow and rough,
But the promise of Glory is more than enough,
To keep me from turning to left or to right,
To lift me and keep me steadfast in the light.
                                      (refrain)
In only a moment, I'll be called away,
At home in the kingdom to spend all my days,
With ten thousand angels I'll sing his praise,
Forever and always in ten thousand ways.
                                      (refrain)
A born again Christian, that's what I am.
